David started competing on the high school cross country team when he entered 5th grade. The coach was an amazing man of God! He mentored the students and provided great guidance. David really enjoyed that year of running. He had a great friend that ran, too. Aaron and David enjoyed hanging out together during and after practices and meets. They could be seen enjoying a Kona Ice, or some fun treat, after meets. David ran hard and strong those first few years. Hannah joined the team, too.
