Watching David select a pumpkin as an almost two year old was a treat. He walked all over the patch with dad and Destinie trying to find the best one. Destinie selected her pumpkin relatively quickly, but eleven year olds know what they want. David was just enjoying the experience of fall festivities, absorbing all of the colors and shapes. The patch probably looked like a theme park to a toddler. I toted Hannah around the patch, chatting with her as we meandered. She was only two months old, so she had no idea where we were. Our family really enjoyed those early years of firsts and newness. Holidays are always more fun with children!
